depends on the version you got.
if you got RT, expect not being able to run everything that isn't on the Windows store (pretty sure that includes BL, but hey, you get fruit ninja)
otherwise, you'll probably have fun with it, exploring its features, while using the desktop view for important work.
also, I recommend using
Start8. it restores the start orb from windows 7, and adds functionality and flexibility to the new start screen's behavior. you can use it to, basically, turn the start screen into a new start menu:

or if you prefer, restore the old start menu.
