No.
If you want to join, then go right ahead. I think joining a military would be a great experience.

A small percentage of the Air Force goes to an area where you would need to worry about being shot. You're probably going to be on an aircraft carrier or on a base 99% of the time.

F-16's?  They still use those things?  Damn.  I figured they would have come out with something new by now what with all these technological advancements these days.

Good point. I'm sure within the next 5 years they'll introduce something new to replace the F-16

Id like to work on Navy jets or aircraft carrier's engines and power supply systems. Boats are my favorite tool of warfare.

most aircraft carriers have gone nuclear i think. A

we already have more advanced jets
they're just expensive

the f-22 i think will eventually completely replace the f-16, or something like that.

Our F-16's have been upgraded with current technology and are all we need in a fighter at the moment.

No. The F-22 is a stealth aircraft designed to sneak in, take out a target, and sneak out. It's also loaded with problems that we're spending far to much to try to solve. They'll be grounded and soaking up funding for a long time before they'll actually be an asset.

The F-35 is closer to replacing fighters.

the f-22
Am I the only one that hates this plane? I don't even know why I do it's just I always see/hear people talking about how great and amazing it is and it really starts to grate after a while.

And to top it off it's ugly.
