Wargame is clunky, slow, lacks any features other than "deploy units, send them to location" and can be easily beating down on the newer players. I played less then 15 minutes of campaign and dragged through 3 hours of multiplayer with a friend. The first time is was 2v2, me and my friend vs 2 randoms. the one random stampeded us with leopards and we lost instantly.
That's exactlly the point of the game. It's about strategy and thinking and not some random spam units tactics or super fast paced action bullcrap. It also seems to be a case of "I-suck-at-this-game-so-it's-horrible" if you ask me. The game is amazingly fun. It has a high learning curve but it's not like it's a crappy mainstream RTS for everybody. I don't know what the forget you mean with "deploy units and send them to location" because that's not how you play the game correctly. It's about effective usage of units , effectively countering enemy assaults and stuff like that. This game doesn't let you play like your average CNC game where you can just spam a couple of tanks and just steam roll the enemy ( even though this is actually possible in Wargame it doesn't work that well).
The fact that Wargame is slow is actually a huge upside of the whole game as you have enough time to react , think and make decisions unlike other in other multiplayer games where I would get killed while trying to think of anything.
TL;DR: It sounds more like you just suck at Wargame because you are trying to play it like an average RTS which is the wrong way to play it. It's a game about realism and you have to play accordingly.
I can understand that Wargame is not a game for everybody but it certainly does not suck.
