Should I hold a really nice edit of Iban's V2, use IT for the revival, then have a new city built for my mod in progress?

thats a joke, right?
Theres a reason CityRPG had a bad name
thats because everyone who tries to fix it or remake it always puts in Mining/Woodcutting/Farming
few things:
1) This doesnt happen in a loving City, what don't you understand about CityRPG? And don't pull "BUT DIS IS BLCKLAND U CNA DO ENYTING" because if you didn't know "RPG" means role playing game. And if your for example role playing in a FarmingRPG, hes not going to loving put in a gunshop and a loving police house, thats completely irrelevant.
2)  ITS NOT FUN. no one enjoys sitting down and holding down the left mouse button until they see the block change color or disappear. Whether or not its a tree or ore. The reason Iban's CityRPG3 worked so well was because you didn't need to cut trees or mine ore to get money. Shops were actually important and they werent just random stuff.
3) It doesn't add to gameplay, all your doing is making getting to the good/fun stuff even longer and people will leave before they can get there.
4) When there isn't a lot of fun stuff happening because 75% of the population is mining/cutting the other 1/4 gets bored and RDMs, then conflict happens and it turns into a stuffty server. if everyone is actively contributing to gameplay, like making a shop or robbing a store and police going after him, then theres less RDMing and more RPGing.
5) the only reason Iban's CityRPG3's mining/woodcutting system worked at all was because it was a seriously minor part of gameplay. No one actually did it and if they did they also did something else or worked for someone. Often times in CRP3 people would mine for others for X amount of time and got payed X amount if they gave all the lumber/ore to the person. Then that person had some reason for it, whether it was putting it into building or selling it. The most time anyone spent mining and cutting is when they got put in jail. even then when Iban turned on Jail escaping my friends would come by break the jail door and break me out...
... oh the good times.

Also I hate it when you get a bunch of lumber, exchange it for cash and are immediatly raped for cash by criminals

And anouther idea, have zones. You don't need a downtown ,uptown, residential, industrial, and financial zone. But at least seperate residential from everything else

You should read my other debunk to this. I know, I'm not going to make woodcutting and mining the only two money sources, that was a terrible mistake on Iban's part, bu back then, it was okay, because it was something new. Gun shops must have a permit from the mayor to operate. Meaning, the mayor must trust and moderate the use of the gun shop.

No stuff, I'm basing mine moreover off of Iban's v3, but not forgetting what made Platinum City by Wicked fun.

Quit talking about Jasa that way. Give me some loving time, I'm not the best scripter, but I know what I'm doing. Mining and Farming are not the only goddamn sources of newcomers income.

As will mine be. Jailbreaks will be included in my server, but they're not a crappy as the ones you failed at implementing. They'll also be at a later stage because I'm going to allow input from good CityRPG hosts.

Of course.

thats a joke, right?

Obviously, considering what I've said above.

If you don't believe me, quit arguing about it. You're a scripter. Do it in your mod supposedly called Blockocity/CityRPG2, whatever you wanna call it. I'm sure you wouldn't have a problem doing it.

Based on the stuff I've been getting lately I've decided to tell you all what I'm basing the features of my mod off of.

http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=181765.0

Iban's CityRPG v3, even though I'll still be implementing ideas from others. The poll says I will be making my own, hooray.

Also, was just hangin out, lookin' at my console, when I saw:

Lol they want me to bring back the indian RP I made with terrain and all kinds of goodies that lasted for about 6 hours because I got bored :P

Putting the spawn on the top of the mountain is annoying. It's not near anything.

Question: Platinum City, is that the name of the city Wicked hosted. Because, I can see many similarities between this and Wicked's.

Yes, it is. We got permission and thought it would be a good idea for a lot of the older CityRPG players to come to this server and hang out.

Yeah, I don't think it will stay. Reason for being put there was to make people travel a bit and get used to the city.

In Game Name: Sky-Eye (BL_ID 32969)
Job: Eventer/Admin
Experience: Vigilance's City RPG (Talk to Altruist on RTB), Lamebro1 on Operation:Infiltration
Why you wanna be part of this: City RPG's are always great to find new people and BL and make new friends. However, certain servers occasionally get VERY annoying and idiotic people. I've seen this happen too much to too many servers and believe I could be a great asset to maintaining the peace. I also come with a great deal of eventing experience that could add to the realism and interactiveness of the server; perfect for an RP.
How much can you be on? (Be realistic): I can check in often.

One of the main problems with cityrpg's, Is  more deathmatching and less roleplaying, The majority of the time weapon availability causes players to buy them and go on killing sprees, And this is what contributes to the degrading of the servers quality.

I can already tell you have a strong sense of independence.

Point has already been made. That will be fixed. worked on

So... no? And I don't understand the independence thing, but your the host. I respect your opinion.

I don't understand the independence thing, but your the host.

I was referring to the way you made your own options.

But, we'll see. I like the way you kissassedly worded that sentence.

Soooo, am I finishing laboring or is that scrapped?

Soooo, am I finishing laboring or is that scrapped?

I've only posted to the drive when in finished because when I post something unfinished you ask me about it.

I only update the drive when I finish a section, I'll post the mining to it before I go to school

you're kidding, right?
