Author Topic: What if you disconnected from your computer for a year?  (Read 1022 times)

pfshahaha wtf

honestly wouldnt matter if i didnt have my computer, i would be perfectly fine without it.

I wasn't talking about my computer. I was talking about technology itself, it's the same as when your power goes out?

That moment of, hey now I have nothing to do time to figure out how to play cards !

Even with the power out you have 100x more technology then I did at the DR

They didn't have running water at all, not even a well.

i'm assuming the people saying it wouldn't affect them or that they would be perfectly fine are either not thinking it through or just acting 2cul4scul

Day 3 is always the worst in giving up anything but it gets better after that.

only knowing friends from online + no internet is the online equivalent of all your friends moving far far away with no means of contacting them

i dont spend my entire life infront of a screen, most of my time  is spent outside working or hanging out with friends. i mean sure my schedule would change but i wouldnt be bored or anything.

RIP Vegetarian Zombie.

not everyone has tons of entertaining things to do irl

i'd probablyactually become a more social person
maybe makebetter grades in math or something
i'dat least become better at talking in real life

If i was disconnected from technology for a year i would end up becoming some kind of savage because i wouldn't be able to drive cars, wear normal clothes, use tools, ect. Everything we have is technology, everything from the food we eat to roman era irrigation.

And you might learn to use the spacebar, too! Wow!

That aside, I think I would be more social as well. A lot of my social activity occurs online, so it seems reasonable to assume that I would naturally look for more social involvement elsewhere.
