I like and dislike the style of your trees. They look very easy and nice to climb, but they're not thick/tall enough.

You don't necessarily have to make more trees, just try making thicker trunks or something.

After looking at the trees, I noticed that the leaves are 4x4 plates stacked. There's a 4x4 brick that's exactly as tall as the leaves. You could divide your leaf brickcount by 3 by using the 4x4 bricks instead of 3, 4x4 plates.

Not enough trees and other natural foliage. Add some heavy underbrush and an occasional bush, plus vines and stuff.

Will it be possible to acquire weapons away from the cornucopia? Maybe a possible crafting system using some simple VCE? (aka stick + sting + rocks = bow and arrow)

He's Entirely right. And you can't skip little details like that. Stuff that you think will only save you maybe 5 bricks ends up saving 3000, meaning more bricks for other stuff, I.e more trees, foliage etc

Also, have you considered random events, forest fires, traps, landslides... The last two would be ea sy, forest fire would be more referring to how katniss ran too far away from the center, so to turn her around they lit that side of the "map" on fire.

You could have trees that light on fire if a player enters a zonebrick, and in turn that toggles a zonebrick further into the fire, that fires a relay and slowly drains maybe .5 hp, so the only way to survive would be to get OUT of the fire.
