Regardless, it was not a state. Technically, it wasn't entitled to the benefits of the Federal Government guaranteed to states by the Constitution.
you've been sitting here arguing that DC is not a state... when loving everyone already knows that. and now you're trying to cover up the fact you thought we had 49 states by blaming some technicality no one cares about. every elementary kid for the last few decades knows we have 50 states.
