Sackboy
On the LittleBigPlanet you’re a little Sack Person like this one here, he’s a cute one isn’t he? Sackboy (or girl) is the fun little character that will share your adventures on LittleBigPlanet. One of the things that makes Sackboy so special is that he can be customised to look as stylish and lovey as you’d like him to look, or just plain weird. You’ll collect all kinds of clothing and things to dress him up with as you explore the world, and you can buy extra special ones from the PSN store too. Take a look at some of the costumes, and learn more about Sackboy.
Play
Exploring LittleBigPlanet will take you through a whole host of locations, whether you're playing on the PlayStation™3 or the PlayStation®Portable.
Each location is packed with unique levels and challenges, using realistic physics and lots of jumpy-grabby action to deliver plenty of surprises and a great deal of fun. There are items to collect - clothes for Sackboy, stickers, and creative tools, some in plain sight, some hidden, and some given as rewards for being a super skilled player.
On the PS3™ LittleBigPlanet is multiplayer - up to four players can Play or Create together, at home or over the internet, co-operative or competitive!
When you’ve completed the story mode, you can head out into the big wide world, and play some of the levels made by other players - there are over a million of them, so you won’t ever run out!

Create
Playing is only the half of it… With LittleBigPlanet you get a fantastic adventure AND the tools which we used to make it - all wrapped up neatly in a simple intuitive thing we like to call Popit.
In Create mode you can use Popit to browse through all the tools, stickers and decorations collected from the Story mode, to build your own levels, toys or gadgets. Place obstacles, traps or enemies all from your own devious imagination - you can build anything you’ve seen in the Story mode, or simply draw inspiration from it, and then create something even more complicated and grandiose! You can be a visionary.

Once your masterpiece is completed, you might wish to publish it to the world, where on PlayStation®3 and PSP™ combined, there are literally hundreds of thousands of levels made by other creator curators can be found and played. Once published, people will play your level and tell you just how great you are at creating levels - the rating, comments and search work just like other things on the internets, like your favorite social network or website, so you'll feel right at home.

There is something about this game i find fun and magical. It's one of the very first ps3 games i ever watched through development and fell madly in love with. I love creating games and i love playing them, even if they are terrible. Little Big Planet allows a constant flow of creativity with little to no complications.
If you want to build a obstacle course you can, if you want to compose musical tunes you can, if you just want to build some sort of crazy adventure it's completely possible.
Now i know most the community is either younger or just a bunch of online daters but i don't mind, even if they're annoying. I'll use the random level selector just to see someone's work and play a level that isn't just what everyone is doing but someone's random idea or thought. Most levels are bad or even incomplete but they have some sort of child like glory.
It's sorta like legos i guess.
You see someone else's fancy level with tons of camera angles and wiring and you feel like you're either never going to be able to do that or you accept the challenge and take a dive into the amazing level creator. You can spend hours at a time perfecting your little level and setting every little detail up.
Then no one visits it.
Untilllll someone uses the random feature and they are brought to it. Then you start getting a small following or a group of people who like your levels and aren't completely brain dead. Some of these people may know things you never knew about the game and could share them with you and during this you're still getting recognized buy a lot of people sharing your level.
Then Media Molecule decides they like your level. And it is apparently very awarding, and sometimes inspires amazing level makers to make more and more levels. This leads to an infinite amount of good content and still a lot of bad content but either way it's fantastic.
