That it?

Well you were offline when we did

EA said you could host a dedicated server but they didn't specify where to get it

Q: Can I run a dedicated server for the game?
A: Yes, you can run a dedicated server by running the file “DedicatedServer.exe”. It is located in the folder where you installed Battlefield 1942 through Origin. This will present you with all available settings, maps and modes for you to customize before pressing the button “launch server”. This server will be visible to all other players via the server browser.

There, took a little digging.

If thats not it, is the cnet link right?

It looks outdated. Just use the one in the Origin folder.

The what?
Do I have to get something called origin to use this?

Yes.

All the Networking information is in the OP

Alright, I'm getting origin, this better be loving worth it.

Even when I copy over all the files, it still says "no games found" when I load up dedicated server on the VPS.

Doesn't sound like much of an issue. Do you manage to load the server all the way or does it close itself out?

It shows that error, and thats it.
It does nothign else.

You download the server Here: http://forgottenhope.warumdarum.de/downloads.php?

It's at the bottom of the page under 'Windows server' and 'Linux Server' ( for windows or linux)

Playing on #2 Battle-something or other server.
It's co-op with 8 people on. (Co-op is just hte regular mode with bots making up for the missing players)

Your server doesn't show up, and the direct connect function says cannot find server.

forward your ports.
