Tell your dad yourself. If you are truly gay and not just going through some sort of 'loveuality spell' (it happens to many people) you should not care what people think. If your dad is truly a good father, he will love you no matter what.
Sort of this. You definitely want to be the person to tell your dad in the end.

Yeah, but I'm pretty sure he's not truly a good father. I tend to worry about everything too much, so that might be it, but...I dunno, I'm scared.

I dunno, I'm scared.
That's absolutely more than perfectly normal. Every gay person is scared about telling their parents. I suggest you talk to some people that have gone through it or are in the same position as you. It might boost your confidence and make you feel better.

I've talked to a few people in similar situations, but it didn't really make me feel any better as no one really seems to know what to do. I think since it's so hugely personal, it's going to be different for everyone. I keep wanting to ask my mom (told her about six months ago, she's been great about it) how to tell my dad, but I always get too afraid and never do it.

I think talking to your mom about it is a fantastic idea. She doesn't want your dad to be any more upset than you do.

This exactly.

Wynd, I have no decent advice, but good luck mang.

not like ontopic or anything but the amount of losers you see with this whole "friendzoned" thing is totally sad. thats just a sad excuse to not look like the total beta loser they are because they were friends with a girl they liked since like grade 1 and were too much of a loser to ask her out and then feel betrayed when they date a guy who's richard is bigger then a cheeto.

maybe if they weren't such weirdos in the first place they wouldn't have that problem. seriously, its not like a girl is going to read your mind waves or whatever and ask them out. grow up ugh.

Somehow I knew RedGajin was gonna come in here and say something like this.

-i am a dumbass who is too immature to do anything but hunt for love-
I kinda wish this was bannable.

what? thats a harmless opinion, it wasn't directed at anyone in this thread, thats why i said "not on topic", whats your deal? im just pointing out the majority of the people who used the "friendzoned" excuse are just people who are way to beta to do anything to help themselves and just be little bitches about the whole situation. idk where you got this "i only want love" thing from either.

i talked with a girl on facebook for a very long time over the course of a couple months and i confessed my love for her and she hates me now

what do

Not to be offensive in any way, but if my memory serves me right, Jeep is the last person that should be giving relationship advice.
