Author Topic: Blockland is very glitchy, Don't know why  (Read 2537 times)

I started playing after I bought it today and suddenly I load a map with a lot of bricks it does what is shown in the screen shot. I don't know why this is happening and if anyone could help that'd be great.

Restart Blockland do it again and post console log.

It's a graphical bug I have encountered, in some form, before. Try what advice is posted here, and if stuff hits the fan, try and update your drivers.

Try disabling/enabling vertex buffer objects, in options

Here it is

This is probably an awful experience for your first time buying Blockland, we have just recently added a new feature called Shadows and Shaders in August and there may be some bugs due to this. However, I have not experienced any like this.

You can read about the update more in this link: http://forum.blockland.us/index.php?topic=203515.0

Another note, when users ask to post your console.log, upload the whole thing, not just the screenshot. It is completely safe, the only thing it gives out are you PC specs such as the processor, the rest are things from the game. To upload it, hit additional options when replying or writing a post and then attach the file.

I hope your experience with Blockland gets better, it is a very polished game, don't let this one glitch get to you :D

This worked.

Never mind now blockland crashes when I try to play.

How on Earth....

Set shaders to off. Delete your cache.db file.

you're all wrong above me, the correct method of fixing this is to disable vertex buffer objects in the advanced options tab.

i should read

Post a console.log and launcher.log of you trying to play and crashing.

I knew of a BL player who had this issue a few days a go, but it was just the ground texture.

Do this for us please:

How to post your Console.log with Trace

Open blockland and press the ~ key, a console window should pop up

type trace(1); into the console and press enter, reproduce your error

Make a post on Blockland Forum, and click Additional Options, then click the button labeled Choose File

Next locate where your blockland folder is and click the text document labeled console (or console.log), lastly click open

Type some text and click the Post button
