Vista and blockland

Author Topic: Vista and blockland  (Read 2839 times)

Anyone who has vista will see that in the "Games" page, blockland isn't even there. and if you add it to the list, there's no "E for everyone" "system's performance" "Game required performance" exc. if anyone could add these, that would be cool.

Also, someone needs to make a better icon for blockland, in vista it looks super pixle-y

forget vista.  Seriously.

This comp has vista, it sucks horrificly... it's not just screwy with blockland but with some other un-tested games which pisses me off. Though i have found that for me the way to run blockland on vista is to use the installer to run it but dont uninstall or save over your blockland folder. It allows me to play it like that though its a pain but its worth it.

panda vista.  Seriously.

I can see no viable reason for choosing Vista over XP. Not only is it a system hog but it also has compatability issues as we see here in this thread.

My computer is Vista, only reason I got it is because I was thinking go with the newer so when it does get fixed it'll be up to date. However my Vista is sorta annoying but 50x better then my last computer. Also some people are just too handicapped to make Vista work properly.

Well, my bro's new computer (you'll see him as Gipgug as soon as he get validated) was pre-installed with vista.

I have a new computer, it came with Vista. None of those things you just said, appy to me. Blockland works fine for me. Are you an Administrator on your computer? The security of Vista is really annoying, it is way too protective. It came with Norton Anti-Virus and would not even let me get on the internet until I deleted it. Also, it's just plain slow.

I seriously don't know why you guys bitch so much about Vista.

I run blockland on a vista just fine, but everybody complains about how it sucks because they are too idiotic / retarted to figure out how to get it to work. It's simple really, go to control panel and security then turn off user account control, and always run blockland as an administrator.

Where is the off button, I've searched for a while and couldn't find it.

Self-ownage, anyways.

Hit the start menu icon thing and look to the right until you see an arrow -> click it and it has shut down and other options.

go to control panel and security then turn off user account control

No I mean the Off button for the User security thingy. forget I'm not handicapped, I just can't find the button.

1.Open Control Panel.
2.Under User Account and Family settings click on the "Add or remove user account".
3.Click on one of the user accounts, for example you can use the Guest account.
4.Under the user account click on the "Go to the main User Account page" link.
5.Under "Make changes to your user account" click on the "Change security settings" link.
6.In the "Turn on User Account Control (UAC) to make your computer more secure" click to unselect the "Use User Account Control (UAC) to help protect your computer". Click on the Ok button.
7. You will be prompted to reboot your computer. Do so when ready.
8. In order to re-enable UAC just select the above checkbox and reboot.

Thanks, I had to find it via another way but I got it in the end.
