Author Topic: Is there a way (command, code, etc.) to speed up Ghosting?  (Read 1540 times)

I noticed that my friends, and other people in general, ghost bricks much quicker than me. My processor isn't that great (Single-core 1.4 GHz). Is there a way to speed up ghosting for Blockland? I've heard that changing the timescale, weird enough, speeds ghosting up. Of course, I'm only admin on my own server and maybe one or two others. I'm not very good at C or C++. I know a little about coding. I've tried my hand at Java, but am only still learning, so I'd need quite a bit of guidance for any code related stuff. Please post, and thank you to anyone who can help!

You should go into Options => Network and check that the packet size and such is as high as possible.

I recently had my Internet cables rewired, the internet cable and phone cable ran through the same cord...

I have DSL.

I feel like this should go in Help rather than General Discussion.

clientcmdtimescale(2);

Makes you lag around if you attempt to run around though, so don't forget to set it back to 1 after you're done ghosting.

That doesn't speed up ghosting.

It actually does, at least last time I checked.
