Author Topic: Fable III  (Read 1310 times)

Fable 3 is a game set in a fantasy world that seems to a combination of the times of the Industrial Revoloution, and medieval. A hint of reniassance, too.

You can choose to either play as a Prince or a Princess to lead - oh the irony - a revoloution against the current king: Your brother. Also known as Logan.

The plot is that you are the son of the last hero of Albion - Fable II's main character - and that Logan is your big brother. Logan was the next to the crown, so he began to lead Albion. Turns out, he was a horrible tyrant. Things got worse and worse, and there was a riot the exact day you planned to meet ___ - [Other royalty, Either a princess, Elise, if you chose to be a prince, or a Prince, Elliot, if you chose to be a princess.]

I'm going to assume you, the reader, are a boy.

Elise shows you the riot, and you have the second moral option - [The first one was some stupid think not worthy of noting in the royal kitchen.] - To either sign a petition for higher pay and less work hours in Reaver Industry, or fart in the face of the person offering the petition. I'm completely serious. Go watch a let's play. (Note that the OPTION BUTTONS are either Sign, or Insult... Insult being very... Insulting.)

Walter, the man who trained you swordsmanship and hammer-fighting skills was having a meeting with he royal guards and Logan himself. [You] and Elise decide to go snooping, and peer through the cartoony locks that anyone can see through.

Walter is kicked to his knees by a royal guard, and this outrages [you], so you open the door saying "Walter!".

Logan notices you, observes that you heard about how they were going to execute the crowd, and gives you a choice that, believe it or not, WON'T affect your moral majorly.

After choosing, you say you'll never forgive him for that and you leave. Walter and Jarvis - Jarvis being your butler that you like as a friend despite him being like 79 or something while you're 20 or some stuff - enter the catacomb escape route of the castle. From there on out, you leave the castle and begin getting followers for the cause. First, you visit the Dwellers and tell them your cause. Their leader - Sabine - says to get an artifact from Brightwall Acadamy's inner sanctom, and also get Brightwall to send food supplies.

Upon doing this, you sign a promise saying that you promise to restore the Dweller Camp.

Next up is.... I just realised: I'm releasing a stuff-ton of spoilers.

Gonna stop telling the plot and say this:

You can also get married in the game, and there is a way of generating revenue:

Buy houses or shops. Adjust the prices so they're high gives you maximum profit, but house condition lowers more quickly and your customers/people living in the house like you less and less, all the way to the point where they hate you.

You can have a kid while married. By adoption or unprotected love. No, there isn't nudity. The game screen blacks out and you send out a few pleasure moans and poof. BABBY.

gameplay was boring. consisted of following a glowing path and mashing your choice of weapon (which boils down to 1 of 3 buttons)

the ending sucked ass. won't spoil anything but it was lame buildup to a lame ending. maybe worse than 2's ending.

plot was okay I guess.

Fable II was a lot better, but Fable III was still pretty good.

Heh, pretty accurate on the quest gameplay, and the ending was too sappy. But still, IMO it was a good game.

it does appear you have acquired a skin for the dog.

i liked the doberman skin for the dog

I personally liked Fable II a lot better than this game, and Fable TLC a lot better than that.
I hate how magic was bound to enchanted gloves, though the combination system was nice. I also hated the Sanctuary system. Sometimes all I want is to zip into a menu, get what I want, and zip out. Molyneux had better deliver with Fable IV.
If we're even getting a Fable IV.

Fable TLC was the only good one

Fable TLC was the only good one
I never got to play it

it's only like $5 on Steam, I might get it

When I bought my Xbox it came with both Halo Reach and Fable 3.
We sold F3

it was great until the game decided to delete my save game after I'd beaten the game.
