I didn't know that fatphobia, ableism, infanticide --- amongst others --- could be categorized as 'good natured shenanigans'.
grow a sense of humor goddamn

No, they aren't.

give me one recent example from this forum when somebody genuinely feels hatred towards females in general. not in a joking manner, genuinely despises them.

The probably isn't the hatred, it's the lightheartedness of serious issues.

serious issues? The rights of women can /almost/ be considered a serious issue if we're talking 2012, but generic make-me-a-sandwich jokes don't even involve that.

just because I'm attacking misogyny.

On the Blockland Forums, of all places...a forum for a video game about building stuff with blocks. What a productive use of your time.

lightheartedness of serious issues.

On the internet.

Go ahead and type up something about how being on the internet isn't a valid excuse for making fun of issue X, the entirety of the internet is going to start giving a quarter of a stuff.

At least you realize you're a horrible person.

I'm not acting. I know how the internet is.

If I have a single chance to at least halt loveism, though, then I try.
Because yelling at 15 year olds on an online forum about how you dislike how women are treated is really going to halt loveism

No, they aren't.
I don't think you understand what a joke is.

the flying spaghetti monster told me that women are slaves

People take things/issues/ideas in different ways. It is just their way of coping with what they fail to understand and in the long run helps them understand the subject better.

For example, in my U.S. History class last year, we watched a documentary about 9/11. When we watched as people jumped from the buildings, embracing death quickly instead of by fire, half the class responded emotionally and the other half laughed. They didn't laugh at the pain or suffering, but it was their way of understanding the situation and taking it in. Their laughing in no way reflected on them as people, it didn't lessen the problems, it just helped them understand the issues better.

Making a problematic and tough issue light/funny simply helps people understand it better and embrace the issue as truth. It also urges people to attempt to change the issues for the better, that is called satire..

Just because people take issues more lightly then you does not mean that they don't take it seriously, it's just a way of understanding the problems.

Lordy Lord's avatar is one of the twin towers.

I'm catching this stuff.

I don't think it looks like one of the twin towers.
