deus ex HR is very good

RAGE: mostly a shooter but with quests and an inventory system similar to deus ex/resident evil also some fun easter eggs

dead island: zombie invasion at a holiday resort, player leveling and weapon crafting and stuff

torchlight kill stuff in random dungeons, also some minecraft stuff in the second one

legend of grimrock, 80s 90s style grid dungeon crawler like dungeon master

trine 1 and 2: sidescroller where you control 3 characters at once
