This is the Mari0 Blockland Project.



This is a Blockland themed Mario World. I still am working in progress with the tiles.

I'm looking for World designers (People who have actually had experience with Mari0 Level Editor and has played at least 10 hours of Mari0/Mario) to help me finish this.

I also need people who can make enemies.

How can I help?

If you would like to work on a world, use this format.

Let's say you want to work on World 4

4-1: Regular world, (2 Bonus Levels, Above and underground)
4-2: Underground world, Warp zone that goes to 5, 6, 7, 8
4-3: Ect.
4-4: Ect.

I am working on world 1 so you can pick world 2-8

If I like your idea of a world, I'll send you the file with the tiles and put them in a custom map folder (Go to run, type "%appdata%" and go to LOVE/Mari0/mappacks/mapnamehere)


(By the way, level 4 on each world should always be a castle, just tell me the details.)

Don't copy levels from the original SMB

Enemy Making
I'm not sure how to do this, but if you do, I could use some custom enemies. (Be creative!)


FAQ

Q: Is there a minimum date to finish?
A: No, not really, I just need you to pm me your progress occasionally. (I'll choose someone else if you don't)

Q: Why can't you just give out the tile.png to everyone?
A: I don't want 100 people submitting levels to me and have to play them all at once.

Q: Can I have the tile file?
A: I will release it after the Map pack gets finished

Q: How should I send you my world file?
A: Go to your map packs, you should see txt file labeled "5-1, 5-1_1, 5-1_2" (Assuming if you we're working on world 5.) Just send them to me in a zip folder using any file hosting service.

Whoever developed this game has some of the craziest code ever, and breaks every function in to a separate file except for the major ones. Besides that, the levels should be themed like builds and maps, like a whole stage based on the Bedroom instead of just lego-ish blocks.

That's actually a great idea, but the theme is that Mario is trapped in a world with no terrain so he has to find his way to switch them back on, so bedroom wouldn't fit well unless it was made of bricks somehow.

The Final boss would be the head of Kompressor, but I don't know how script things like that

I hear there's a guy who leads the Daros who is versed in the ways of LUA.

If the game already has some way to place bosses in the level editor, all you have to do is change the boss images to the pic that you want.
