So you click and jump, seems like a really interesting brand new element with many new features never seen before as well as high interactivity.

"iPad"
it's all about aesthetics on mobile :u

gotta go fast

someone had to say it

I like it. It needs more features thought, maybe wall jumping or rail grinding. Of course its only a demo so yeah.

Also i think running up hill should slow you down more.

as much as i adore sonic games i'm trying to maintain my own identity on some level as far as design gimmicks go, so i'm gonna try to avoid those

the spinny whirly above-max-speed run animation is purely for referential reasons and sbould not be taken with 100% seriousness.

(by the way; level design gimmicks? anybody?)

hello
Looks at topic name

Looks at above poster's name

:O

They both start with the letter M!
They have the same name!

Sanic stealed all the gimmicks

okay, what I was explaining in my PM:
essentially you'd have an aesthetic based upon change of theme. Now, this would require the levels to be randomized, which can be achieved with level "segments." So the levels would randomly gen for a bit until your character runs into a tunnel at a certain length. he would then emerge in an alternate (randomized) world. for instance, the first level could always be the one you have. then you might emerge into a city scene where the music becomes 3/4 "swingy" time and the mood changes from bright and organic to sleek and "nightlife"-ish.
you could have an industrial factory, an underwater area, etc.

systems are go on r02

2 levels down, 3 more to go

... for this world, at least.

i'm definitely gonna put this up on the app store before the end of the year. maybe before christmas? i dunno. hard to say.

Just played the new level, I love it so much. Took me about 7 or 8 tries to get a hang of the balloons, But after that I got it.

Also you should name levels after members and use the level names as codes so people wouldn't need saving and they can just get to the last level they played on that way.

you're gonna need a menu system if this is going on the app store
plus gamecenter integration
