Author Topic: Good Keyboard?  (Read 1959 times)

Need one for my laptop/desktop, gonna get one for Christmas.

I really like the DAS ones, but they're expensive as hell ($100+). I need that 'clickity-clack' because my current keyboard just doesn't cut it.

Also numpads help a lot for BL.

I'll scream.

Would be easier if you gave how much money you got.

http://www.cmstore-usa.com/quickfire-pro-mechanical-gaming-keyboard/ this is a pretty good one

http://mechanicalkeyboards.com/mechanical_switches.php here's a guide so you can decide which switches you want.(probably red very good for gaming and not bad for typing)

No specific budget. I'm not anywhere near running short of money.

- Also, the Quickfire Pro Mechanical Gaming Keyboard looked quite nice. I'll still look though, cause I'm not entirely centered around gaming (I type a lot too).

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16823129003 here is quickfire cheaper on newegg. also it has brown switches which rates an 8.5 gaming and 8.5 typing.

Thats mine. Decent keyboard, types fast, backlit so you can type in the dark, fast key response and easy volume controls. 8/10.
Cyborg Gaming Keyboard.

types fast

Uh, typing slowly is a problem with the user, not the keyboard.

backlit so you can type in the dark

Why would you need to see the keys to type?

fast key response

What do you even mean by this?

easy volume controls. 8/10.

Volume controls? On a keyboard? What?

oh my god what

My suggestion is, You don't need these fancy keyboards, A fancy mouse sure but not this.

Urrghhh you guys know nothing of keyboards. and yes having volume control on your keyboard is good, because if someone walks in on you bashing your load off to some research, slapping the mute button and minimising is quicker with my keyboard.
also, I have this mouse..

Its amazeballs.

wtf are the stuff of that ^^^

it make me CONFUSE

He didn't say directly but I am pretty sure he wants a mechanical keyboard which that cyborg keyboard is not furdle. Although "clickity clack" does imply mechanical.

Well he said he likes the DAS keyboards which are mechanical. He likes  the "clickity clack" which is also mechanical. If I was a betting man I'd say he is only interested in mechanical keyboards.

Unicomp makes cheaper buckling spring keyboards in the $80 range.

The cheapest option is to bid on some actual original model m keyboards on ebay honestly. Get the PS/2 version and a USB converter off monoprice if you need one.
