I don't know if anyone made a post about this yet.

Some guy pushed another guy right in front of an oncoming subway and a bystander took pictures of the guy about to get hit.
I love America.

6:43PM EST December 3. 2012 - A 58-year-old man died Monday after he was pushed off a subway platform in Midtown Manhattan and hit by a train pulling into the station, according to news reports.

Some witnesses reported the victim had argued with the suspect, estimated to be in his 20s, before being pushed, while others said the suspect had been talking to himself and the victim asked what was wrong. The New York Daily News described the suspect, who fled, as being "emotionally disturbed."

Witnesses said the victim tried to climb back onto the platform about 12:30 p.m. ET as the southbound train on the N, Q, R line approached West 49th Street along Seventh Avenue.

"He gets back on his feet," a police source told the Daily News. "He's waving to the train, 'Stop! Stop!' He tries to climb up onto the platform and the train hits him."

Officials said several bystanders were treated for shock.

The New York Times notes that in June a stranger pushed a woman onto subway tracks in the Bronx but she was rescued by friends. In August 2010, a 39-year-old woman was injured by a train after being pushed off a platform.

Get this, apparently he was standing there for at least a full minute.

loving New York Post is total garbage. I don't understand why the middle school near me has to give it out for free (my school is located on the fourth floor of a middle school).

"hurr durr lets take pictures instead of helping him"
Flagging down the train is useless, from the time it takes for a train to stop completely from the moment of putting on the breaks the train covers the length of about two football fields.

I think one person tried to perform cpr but obviously it was too late.
Treat for shock, Yeah. The shock must have lasted a good 20 minutes so no one else tried to help.
Everyone down there should be at fault lol.

A train approaches the station nearing 50 mph.
The floor is at shoulder height.
It would be impossible to save him.

people who watched were treated for shock.
i will never understand the feeling of being physically hurt just by seeing something. lotta weak loving people in this world.

ironically, if the guy ran away from the train he would have lived. the train was going to stop anyways, and it had already used its brakes when seeing the guy so was slightly slowed anyways.
this is why the guy was "hit" and flew like 30 feet. and not simply mashed into the wheels.

If there was time to take several photos of the man there was time to grab him before the train as even nearing the station.

Didn't even think of that but wow yeah that would have been easy.

Is it really that easy to just push someone in front of the train?
Scary e.e
