I mean, he's so obviously being serious, it's crazylike what? my mom hasn't taught me anything besides what not to do with my life
Well for one how to interact with women on a basic level
so you're fine with lesbian couples? are male role models needed as well? and i do agree having a woman role model is good, but that can be an outside source, can't it? also, you shouldn't limit their rights to adoption because someone else is closed minded enough to bully them for it. the kid will not resent having gay parents in that instance, they'll resent the person bullying them. is that not common sense?
I just think that a proper up-bringing needs a male father, or a male playing the role of father if the actual father isn't around. A mother, or a female playing the role of the mother if the mother isn't around. And the kid will always know he is different to everyone else, when asked 'whats your mum called' what can he say? 'uhm, john normally plays the mum'. If i had two fathers and no proper mother I'd resent them. Gratefull for them bringing me up and whatnot but still resentfull. Hell, when the kid is old enough to understand love but wants to ask some questions about it, who does he ask? his gay parents?
What about single parents?
This is a problem, you'd just have to hope the single parent had a best friend of the opposite love to help out and raise the kid.
