Think about it. No matter how much they 'love' you, many societies shun homoloveuals.
You'll get bullied. You'll have trouble making friends (maybe gay friends but that's about it). It will be awkward at parent conferences. It will be awkward at 'Bring your child to work' days. You may be even at a disadvantage for jobs. People will dismiss you entirely because of how and whom you were brought up by. They will all assume you're gay, too. Are you willing to have a life of hardship and discrimination just so you can keep a smug smile and declare 'I am perfectly happy!'?

then you don't say their opinion is wrong (which makes no sense), just say they should have read the links. we can't force him to read them, either. if you are actually looking to get people to see your side you can go out of your way to show them your argument.

Yes, exactly. I still would like to ask gay parents how they feel about it; they're definitely aware their child will be bullied and discriminated against, so why do they do it? Because they want to feel like a 'real' family?
