SUPER SHORTY???
maybe it can replace the GayS-23

also base a model off of this gun:

it's the STG45, was never put into production.
It was made to replace the STG44 with a cheaper, recoil-operated weapon.
But it has a low ass rof of 350-450 RPM irl

maybe you can make an oldschool-looking accuracy assault rifle with AK-level power

the stg is basically the ak before the ak

not exactly
the 8mm kurz has way less recoil

the StG was reverse-engineered to make the AK

also the StG45 kinda looks like a G3 to me in some ways lol

funny that you say that
the story goes that trains full of parts for the STG45 were sent to a secret mountain facility in the Austrian Alps during WWII to create these weapons in secret but failed to reach and start manufacturing weapons before the end of the war.
The contents were sieged and the engineers were also captured.

and then the former allies assembled them, studied them, and eventually CETME of Spain made the CETME rifle which operated very similarly to the StG45. When (West) Germany was allowed to manufacture weapons again the German engineers working for CETME went back to Germany. There they started working for H&K who took the CETME and created the G3.

so thanks to the national socialists and their last ditch attempts at making a cheap design to mass produce cheaper assault rifles and losing quickly enough we now have many quality H&K weapons!!

and by the way the ak47 only borrows the gas-operation mechanism from the StG44.
It's a hybrid of other designs too.
