Author Topic: Blockland Startup Intro Video  (Read 850 times)

I think when Blockland is launched, a video plays that shows how this wonderful land made out of blocks was created
Probably like how the universe was created, I guess?

I wrote one down here, will update it

First... there was a brick. This was a small brick.
Over time, this brick began to grow bigger.. bigger.. Until it was as big as a giant beach ball..
Then, the brick exploded. Out came a wonderful, infinite flat plane. [I don't know what to write about how the blockheads came. Please add to this.]

These videos are normally on the beginning of games with stories/campaigns to them, Blockland is more of a sandbox, i don't think it'll happen.

Why not just have the option to disable it, if you don't like it
Also, I don't really want this to be default, probably a add-on

Yes but what's the point of it being in the game? Why not make a YouTube video about it instead of having it there for no good reason.

Many Blockland videos don't get much views

Just realised why. fixed

I sorta get what you mean, it would be cool.

I personally HATE it when I have to wait for a stupid video to end before I can play my game.

One time only video. Should be played in demo as well. Once you watch it, it will never play again
Mock-up:

Many games have intros that can be skipped, but then it kinda ruins the point of the intros anyway

I hate intros.
they consume time.

I'd like to see parodies of other video game intros, like Call of Duty (Dat quality) and Super Smash Bros

Steam greenlight video maybe?

this can be entertaining also posibly better
it should load crap wile its playing the video
