Okay, so, it was a normal day, playing GTA IV with some friends, and one disconnected and the other invited me into a voice chat, well, after a bit I closed the voice chat and the friend messaged me asking which town i lived in, and he got it right, so then i ask how, and he said he VOIP'd (Voice-over IP) me, and started saying all the stuff he knew about me, even that i had a PS3, then he said "Aw, why do you have your camera's lid closed? Don't be like that." (It was covered up) and then he said "Wow, your resolution sucks" and i started asking how the forget he knew what it was, and said "uh, idk" then after a while he says "have you heard of dark comet?" (Which i searched up and it turned out to be a RAT software). Then after that he said "I just track their location to scare them."
i was very loving scared at that point, and removed him from my friends list and shut off my laptop.
in steps:
1. playing gta iv with friends
2. has a what looked like a innocent voice chat with him
3. wets self and cries (not really, but i did kind-of cry, okay not kind-of, i cried.) and went into full-panic mode
4. stuffs self and still wets self when he turns on my camera
5. goes above panic mode and removes him and shuts off laptop
i know he said he does it to just scare people, but it's loving panic-mode for me. Coincidentally or not, i was looking around topics of people who had viruses on the blockland forum before it happened.
plus, since then, my chest has been hurting every-now-and-then, and i have been feeling sick and stuffty.

no factory reset if its from a HDD.

clean install windows from a dvd.
install drivers.
install antivirus.
change password on loving everything.

the only way to know if you're free from a RAT is to perform a clean install deleting every partition. (even the recovery partitions)

actually, i forgot to say one more thing, i didn't download anything from him at all, of course i should've known he hadn't RAT'd me, but again, he did say a resolution, which I believed he knew at the time and didn't check, i was too much in full-panic mode to care, sorry, i get forgeted easily if i even think i have a virus, also i'm sure he would've questioned the U.S. FBI tab in google chrome.

anyway yeah darkcomet is a RAT. it's free, actually, so it's pretty common. the hacker can see and edit all your files, see your camera, see your saved passwords, see your desktop, see your keystrokes, and some other stuff. he was pretty stupid to tell his victim that he ratted him, which makes me suspicious if he did rat you. check your processes list and msconfig registry. good luck op

most crypters are fully undetected or fully detected, so running a scan won't work.

know if that's bad or not, also one of the RAT'ers friends (which was another friend of mine) told me that his dad was getting a job in a city that's near me, i don't know if this was a coincidence or not, but then soon he started doing things that was just weird, and said "Hey do you ever swim in that pond behind your house?" (Infact, it's actually a mobile home) and he said "lol [the person who tricked me into thinking i ratted him] told me to ask you that." then, one time he said that (I'll just call him A) A kills people he meets online, and then, suddenly, at some point, he pastes my IP Address (I made sure it was mine, it was by my post) and said "I just typed random numbers" so, could somebody RAT you by finding your IP? and also, he tried acting dumb by saying he didn't know what a IP was. and i just got a invite to the group "different people :)" who he is in, B (The fake RAT'ers friend). goddamn i feel sick for some reason. Also, I removed B. Also, B said that I do have a PS3, which is what A said as well, I have the feeling their doing this just to make me piss myself. And another thing, A found out about my name as well.
