noice!

I also believe that TomTom is making something like this too.

Never, EVER, put warning in the middle of the screen, you always want to put them off to the side so the driver can actually see what they're doing.

Nice, though I have to say I wish it looked like mine. The way I designed it on Paint.NET looks reminiscent of an actual flight HUD and looks a bit neater than yours (not disrespecting, just stating opinions). I wish yours gave actual data in number format in addition to the tapes on the sides. Also a compass would be essential, and the line that follows the horizon would be really useful too.

Looks good but it just needs a attitude indicator, or artificial horizon.

Also, here is a reference for a horizon indicator.

IT. HAS ONE.
Seriously you guys are blind.
It's the little ground plane indicator next to the speed dial. LABELED in the second picture.

Something more than an arrow in the corner would be cool. Like a line that follows the horizon, for example.

Here, look at this. (OP it looks a lot like what you were saying)

Pretty much, yeah. The only things I dislike about this are

1) I wish instead of just saying YOU ARE HEADED E it would have a tape that would scroll or an actual round compass

2) "WARN"

the horizon indicator could not work in blockland as the world is flat
that defeats the entire concept of a horizon

I agree about the scrolling tape on the bottom for the compass heading. I think the "WARN" thing is temporary.

I mean less of a horizon indicator and more of a pitch indicator. Like, if you are flying with this line perfectly horizontal through your crosshair then you're flying straight.

will the engine be able to detect if you are in a flying vehicle or not?
That's a good question. It would be best if the HUD was custom-coded into the vehicle or a simple check in the script that says something like this:
Code: [Select]
vehicleFlies(1);
