get closer to the group.
You both rush to aid your comrades but are cutoff by 3 Romans decked in full bronze armor and carrying only shields. "Come at us you cowardly dogs," one of the Romans taunts, "Hope your mothers aren't done whoring on the streets, I will need a little reprieve after this slaughter!"
Run over and get a bow and arrows.
Still use the sword, though, but just grab that stuff real quick.
Groovy.
Keep firing.
Aces makes a break for the bow that the Roman dropped by trying to sprint past a couple of the enemy. As he rushes past one he feels a shield slam into his back and he lands hard on the ground. He rolls over just as a spear hits where his head used to be. The man that handled the spear fell to the ground, sustaining two bullet wounds from Jellys pistol. Just as aces is about to get up he feels a flashing pain in the side of his head, and then blackness.
Aces has been knocked unconscious via boot for two roundsJelly see's Aces fall to the ground and tries to reach him. He is cut off as a Roman weilding a spear stabs at him. Jelly jumps back and takes out his Trench axe, swinging at the Romans head. He makes contact and the axe lodges in the mans skull before Jelly rips it out, blood dripping off the end. This pocket of Romans has been dealt with and you look for your next target.
Move back a bit and look at the surroundings
You step away from the fight and take a look at your situation. You see that almost all of your cavalry has been slaughtered or dismounted. Your archers still take pot shots at the enemy from various areas around the mountain, but aren't as effective due to the fact that they may hit an ally. All in all, you reckon you have about 150 men and the Romans have 70-80. Most of the Romans have regrouped and are now fighting in an organized circle of shields and spears, fending off your allies. You see three more ~10 man pockets of Romans still separated from the main force though. Your ballista are running low on ammo as well.
