There needs to be a client sided mod where you can keybind if you want tools on or off.

Like if you wanna have a paint party but not ruin your build.

I know this can be client sided somehow, can someone do it?

Can't be client sided. That could pose huge exploit issues if it were possible.

How could that be exploited? Could it be a server mod?

How could that be exploited?
Allowing clients to change the functionality of projectiles.
Being able to stop paint projectiles from coloring a brick would allow for a gun projectile to crash a server. It's the same kind of thing.
Could it be a server mod?
Yes.

If you could change the paint can to not paint, you could as well make a gun projectile crash the server.

No?

No?
If there was a client side mod that could change projectiles, then yes.

Wait, are you guys saying who can code could make a client side add-on for themselves to crash servers, or is it just not possible?

What
On the server-side, a scripter can already do this. Making a paint projectile do nothing can be done with the same method one would make a gun projectile crash the server.

If someone could change the functionality of their paint projectiles on the client side, then they could make their gun crash the server. Which by the way, they can't do either. I'm explaining why it's good that it's impossible to do client sided.

It's not impossible and I tried to explain why but Blocki had nothing but single word responses in order to cause a huge confusion.

I was expecting this to have a server-sided part and a client-sided keybind sorry for not understanding the fail of this idea

I meant by act as if you had nobodies trust but then it didn't show anything on screen.

You would have to make it only work for the 6 tools, (DWand, Wand, Hammer, Wrench, Printer, Paint Can) not the duplicator or any other add-on. Sort of like the /arm command
