Author Topic: Why do certain people not like Star Wars episodes 1-3?  (Read 928 times)

I keep hearing about "original trilogy purists" saying how much episode one sucked, and that only 4-6 were good. Why? Episodes 1-3 were great IMO. I don't see what's so wrong.

It's just the large time period they we're made in.

Sort of how like people say the 90's we're better (90's nick lol)

I think all the Star Wars movies would be better if they had this Boba Fett

He just comes out of nowhere playing a Zelda tune on his accordion, and BAM, 500% better

I don't like any of the Star Wars movies, but I imagine people like the original triolgy because mostly of nostalgia. Or they just don't like 1-3 because if i'm not mistaken George Lucas had total creative control and I imagine they're somewhat different from the original trilogy

Because they were terrible
The story was weak, the acting was eh, way too overproduced, jar jar binks

they were just bad

We had greenday....

watching the redlettermedia reviews should explain it for you

Yea, they're stuff. Terrible CG and annoying characters (forget Jar Ja!). The lightsaber battles were pretty cool I guess, but that's about it.

I feel like the new trilogy kind of increased in quality as the movies went on. Phantom Menace was loving awful, Attack of the Clones was pretty okay, and Revenge of the Sith was good.

best part of phantom menace was liam neeson and peter serafinowicz

Jar Jar binks ruined it all. RUINED.

and this.

I like the last one, Revenge of The Sith. The rest are just meh
