Author Topic: Need a new laptop  (Read 1379 times)

I like to lay down on my bed and browse the web while you're relaxing, so I have decided I want a laptop. My price range is 400 - 500 dollars, I don't really need anything powerful, but maybe an i3 would work fine. Also, 3 - 4 GB's of RAM is recommended.

My computer is a desktop EMachines computer with 140 GB of storage. I need a new one too.

I made the mistake of getting an Emachines.

I feel your pain. However I may be banned tomorrow. Someone made a drama about me. It's in offtopic tho. o_0

I'd also prefer HP.
My dad has a HP laptop. It's a gaming computer with windows 7. He's a noob at minecraft yet a pro at Starcraft 2.

It has stuffty Intel graphics but it ticks everything else, is a reliable brand, and if you really wanted you could probably open Blockland and play it with no-shaders if you were too lazy to go to your desktop.

Could I also add that it must support Minecraft?

Intel... Enemy of blockland shaders.

Windows 7 please, I'm not interested in Windows 8.

I would be careful with HP
They usually have some better price to performance ratios than other companies, but in my experience they cram their computers full of so much disgustingly unhelpful crap that I would have paid to not have any of it.
Like an extra row of keys to open specific HP programs
and it replaces all default image and audio programs with random HP stuff that takes forever to load
and adjusting the volume brings up graphic that will minimize whatever game you are playing
and the function keys are replaced by random media buttons, to actually get to f1-12 you need to hold an additional "fn" key

It's pretty bad.

amazing speakers.
decent screen.
good HDD.
perfect processor/gpu combo for the price in the case if you wanna run games on low.
4gb ram.

there you go, an amd sempron would work fine for what you do but this is good for minor gaming/unoptimized flash stuff should you want to do so in the future. (i'm looking at you tinychat.)

for what you do windows 8 isn't going to come close to a deal breaker.
