Author Topic: I have to give a huge speech.  (Read 1488 times)

In front of hundreds upon hundreds of people, and a millionaire tomorrow. The speech is essentially explaining how I am going manage 1200+ students. These people will be brown townyzing my every word and move (literally). I'm usually exceptional at public speaking, but I'm nervous for this one.

Advice?

Why are you managing 1200 students?

Why are you managing 1200 students?
Because I'm important.

I have to make eye contact. I know a lot about Psychology, which screws me when it comes to speaking. Because I know my own tells and errors.

Stare mid level off your ground, or look up if it's a raised seating arrangement. It is literally impossible for you to stare into the souls of 1200 people at the same time.

Eye contact = not an option, do not collect $200

No you don't o.O
But they always tell me to do it, always?
Admittedly in front of such a large group it might not be an option

Why the forget would a 25-year old man be going on a childrens lego game forum?

This isn't a children's lego game.

Anyways, just, imagine they're all naked and that they're all hot men/women.

I am terrified of speaking. Like, really.

Oh you

Make eyecontact with everyone in the room, make some animated facial expressions, speak slowly, speak clearly, pause at the appropriate times, and a hand motion every once and a while.

Do that and you'll be awesome
