Basically Riddler took power by force, World War 2 was inevitable because of the poorly decided terms in the Treaty of Versailles, so everyone was still angry about that. Riddler didn't like the Jews and basically used the entire race as a scapegoat for all Germany's problems. He sent them all to concentration camps to try to kill off the entire Jewish race. In the camps they were starved and eventually gassed in gas chambers (dead). Eventually the allies won but it was too late for the Jews and they had no where to go
