For me it's 8 weeks. At my school in Australia, we get off on the 6th December, don't go back untill very early February.

The "huge spiders" are nowhere to be seen unless you live out in the countryside or in a rural area. If you live in a city or town or suburban area, the largest spiders are about an index finger's length.
