Today I got the Thief collection, I've already played The Dark Project so I started up Thief 2, I get as far as starting my game, getting to the bit where Garrett is all "I'd better check my map" then I check my map and it usually freezes up at this point. Sometimes I get to walk around a bit too before it freezes up. Also I remembered how Garrett constantly clunks around like a really fat tap dancer. So loud.
I heard fog needs to be disabled in options on Windows 7 so I did, and that was going smoothly until I tried to throw a plate at a wall. Then it froze again.
I have googled the issue and I found some people with similar issues, they linked a patch but the link was broken.
