It's not pretty.
It's cluttered as forget and looks like a phone screen

Windows 8 is extremely unstable and has a lot of compatibility issues.
Don't get it.

Actually, it's stable, fast, and easy-to-use.

Don't know why you guys are hitting on. Just because it's new and NOT YET compatible doesn't mean it's bad.

Apart from the new start menu what else does it add?

Hang on, windows 8 is compatible with all (or most) windows 7 applications. I haven't run across one yet that I've had an issue with.

Faster startup.
Xbox and Microsoft apps.
Less BIOS and memory usage.
Charms Bar.
Easy to access Settings.

I haven't had a compatibility issue with 8 at all yet. It's nice, but not really worth an update imo

I actually went ahead and upgraded to Windows 8 Professional. I did some research, and all of my hardware supports it. Only 1 program didn't support it, and it was from Vista. I also got it dirt cheap with my Dell.

By 3 seconds
You can't play Xbox games which makes it kinda pointless
Windows 8 requires at least 2 GB of RAM. Windows 7 only requires 1 GB
A stuffty version of the start menu
It is not easier. It's more annoying

All windows 8 did was make stuff a little faster and make a clusterforget UI.

Call me when they release a REAL update.
