Author Topic: Kalphiter being unruly on Death Race  (Read 2823 times)

I believe this is an important quote to show in the topic. I also believe Badspot's "Might doesn't make right" quote can be applied to this situation.
Though I do agree fully, I simply didn't want to add more than 3 of the images, so I provided the gallery link just for the sole purpose of people being able to see anything kalph said.

I would also like to add that there was more, but being that all of the chat was so overflowing, I lost the first half of my conversations with kalph, which was mostly his crying over how I was being unfair and I deserved to be banned. But as I couldn't acquire a picture, nor can I do so especially now, I can't really hold onto that.

Pretty sure he'd respond to this...

but, then there's badspot.

Kalph can respond so long as he does so appropriately. I honestly would like to see his Sid of the story, it wouldn't be fair if this was all one sided. However, it is his decision whether or not to post. I generally think kalph could be such a easily liked guy (with his hosting, coding and servers) if he could just calm down.

Something's got to be wrong with the host if you're able to drop weapons and it's a major issue.

In moderation it isn't a flaw. Given that yes, my tactics aren't fair, I can simply drive halfway through the track and wipe out 4 jeeps with just my sniper, I rack up the points pretty easily. This means I can give my trusted friends (small group of 3 that I've known since 2009) the same tools I have and we can just pal around or have friendly competition.

But it still remains unfair no less. Whether or not kong and wink remove the ability to drop items wouldn't stop me, but if kalph is allowed to keep up this kind I behavior, or anyone for that matter, then I personally won't be visiting, and I can probably guess the same for a handful of people that don't enjoy being shredded by walls of flak.

Oh god. I'm starting to get a kick out of these Kalphiter dramas. He does the same thing on every server he goes to.

>Goes to server to abuse
>Finds abuse
>Abuses
>Complains about abusing
>Tries to set example by abusing
>Gets banned

"i can forget up the server"

"but kalph can't"

wtf. no. Its always the hosts fault. Kalph just always joins servers with horrible hosts for some reason.

/sarcasm

Handing two people pistols akimbo to be my backup gunners without them saving isn't really too large of an effect on a server, considering your lucky to have 3 people in one keep after the first few meters as is. Kalph, on the other hand, literally walked out the garage and made an effort of throwing cannons at people. If he could, he would probably gift wrap them with a bottle of champagne attached.

Of the people in my group, the other two are better with meee if anything, and we each know this. We also respect server rules, admins and the like. In fact, I had 3 SAs team up with me multiple times, and they would be perfectly fine with it. Pistols won't really change too much. Multi-shot rocket launchers with bouncy projectiles that fire rounds from the round itself on the other hand, does.

The only way I have affected the server is by giving other teams false hopes then picking them off from a distance, which even then is part of the game. Kalph went from 100% focused on driving, to total domination, kill everyone, give out flak cannons before the doors open.

Still a resolvable issue, along with the whole 'dedicated server, dedicated admins' deal.

I agree Kalph seems like a richard, but AdinX sure seems like he is also a huge friend on the server. He does the same exact stuff as him but since it's not him it's not allowed.

, you're still loving stuff up.

whats wrong with throwing weapons to the ground? anyone can do it?

oh- wait. this is a stuffty flawed server where you have to kill to get good weapons, but in order to kill fast enough you need good weapons. so basically in order to get a "flak cannon" you have to "play" until you finally earn enough points.

these kind of level up TDMs dont work. this isnt an rpg where you put time into your character, getting stronger gear to combat stronger foes. everyone here has the same health and they are all fighting eachother at the same time, but some players flat out have better weapons than you and you are forced to fight them. this isn't fun for new players.

this concept works in an RPG because the lower levels with lower tier gear are pitted against enemies that match the player's gear. you level up and gain new gear to fight the foes that are coming up. now with this server, you are pitted against "foes" that have simply better weapons than you at the start. like i said, this isn't a choice you have like going into a high level dungeon or something, you're thrown into this at the start.

somewhere along the line, FPS developers decided it would be smart to implement the level up system for weapons. I don't know how well it works in every game, but its surely flawed here. the flaws of the levelFPS don't show as greatly in other FPS titles as they do here. the guns in CoD are relatively similar, and most of the time are only slight boosts above eachother, with the exception of a few unique, powerful, weapons. the prestige system convinces max levels to reset their weapons so they can rank up more, usually preventing masses of high levels camping with the best guns. Amateur devs like the host here stretch that concept by giving new players knives and pistols while the high level players get rockets, explosives, machine guns, and snipers. its a stuffty scam that suckers in players so that they sit in the server for hours and hours, thinking that they will eventually get the high level gun so they can finally play on an equal level with the guys who were camping them this whole time.

games like where players are pitted together in a race should be an equal test of ability and driver skill. it should NOT be determined by who spent the most time "playing" here (play2win). i want to be able to join the server and not worry about things like those described in this topic happening. the concept just doesn't work here so its time to try something DIFFERENT. i suggest that the host follow mechanics of original arena styled FPS games where everyone starts off with the same weapons choices and you find more on the map. this could be done in the form of powerups you drive over. when the round resets, everyones weapons and powerups reset. if you want to still retain a level up system, make it so you can buy skins or variations of weapons instead of straight-up better ones.

kalphiter giving out guns was "wrong" because it allows new players to fight evenly with other players. kalphiter giving out guns was "bad" because the gun itself is such an overpowered stretch from what should be played with, let alone what new players start with.

so much this
This.
Kalphiter did nothing wrong, and this drama was unneeded.

with the whole "rtb hosting vs kaphost" thing going on, people have been trying too hard to make kalphiter look bad. it's pathetic and has to stop.

i dont see whats wrong about kalph giving out weapons to other teammates. it looks like he's just being nice

Once again Kalphiter gets a drama for being the only one in the server who is able to play the game to it's fullest.
The rest probably didn't even know how to throw items. Yes, sarcasm. <<

The server looks like a stuffhole.
