In order to get decently cool don't you have to have cool air coming in?
i'm tired as forget right now and probably wrong as hell but
as i understand it if you can draw enough air out you'll create a big enough vacuum to the point where you're not really moving air or cooling it

My friend is currently offering his 770 to me for $200. I have a r7 265 right now. Should I buy this off of him or buy something else for around the same price?

You're not going to get anything faster for $200, so I'd say get it.

Right now asus still makes them new for over $300, refurbished for $230. Id say go for it. The gtx 770 is still a viable card and can run most games at high at 1920x1080

This ^

$1558 later and my parts for my new PC are finally ordered, hoorah.

there's no way you're gonna make a real vacuum with some computer fans, but it would definitely be enough that it wouldn't do any good

hey guys im picking out new parts for my computer, how are these http://pcpartpicker.com/p/pjKWRB
i dunno, i think you might need a different power supply? don't quote me on this but you might wanna try like, at least 600W.. someone correct me if i'm wrong though, don't wanna spread misinformation (:

now why would he need that?
even 1 watt is too much for what he's doing.

well i mean, if he gets more than what he needs, that'll give him some room for improvement

you can buy one for $180 off of evga: http://www.evga.com/Products/Product.aspx?pn=02G-P4-2775-RX
it's like new and it's going to have a lot less mileage on it

Made a very interesting discovery today.

I wanted to see how much a build would cost if I used the new Intel i7 6700K using just about the same parts. Surprisingly enough, turns out that it's only ~$200 more than the rig I put together a couple months back.

I honestly thought it was going to be more than that.

This is what happens when I go to Microcenter to get stuff

Ended up getting the G910 for 139 bucks from 180 normally, and the 250 GB Evo for the Mac Pro for 89 bucks.
