Well I built a new rig

i5-4690k
Corsair H100i GTX
EVGA GTX 970 FTW+
MSI Z97M Gaming
16gb Corsair Vengeance Pro (2x8)
Corsair AX760
Samsung Evo 120gb SSD
Western Digital Caviar Black 1tb
Corsair Air 240
Windows 7 Home Premium

But I ran into some problems, first I broke the backplate to my cooler, so I'm stuck with the stock cooler. Now when I have both sticks of RAM in it puts itself into a boot loop. I've done everything like updating the Bios, clearing the CMOS, changing voltages, you name it. I mean it runs with 8gb, but now what am I going to do with this extra stick lying around? And just this morning audio has stopped working, so I'm gonna RMA this board. :(

they're super cheap tho

I only make 16$ a week atm and I am saving up for a new motherboard and cpu (Need $130). I currently have $90ish dollars.

Plus 3/4 PSI ports (Excuse me if that's the wrong name) are broken, so I can only run a single harddrive. (hence why I'm getting a new motherboard among other reasons)

Is anyone using an aio water cpu water cooler thats only of 140mm size rad? As apposed to the dpuvle length rads people usually use.

Do you know if they closely compare to the bigger ones for cooling?
Longer length AIO coolers are always better if you can use them, I use the Corsair H50i, My current CPU temp is 34c.
I'm in an air conditioned room at 70-72 degrees all the time.

I'm not sure if its been said before but the room temp affects your coolers temp if its liquid.

Yeah that was a mistake on my side, I forgot vertical coolers like the cooler master hyper 212 still has liquid in the heat pipes.

What about phase change coolers?

Fans can only displace heat from your heatsink to a minimum of your room's temp.

you mean PCI? because you don't need those unless you have an SSD that plugs into your PCI slots. hard drives go into your sata ports.

don't give me flashbacks

That's cool, whenever you don't want the case, you can turn it into a tank!
