the ram wouldn't even fit in the slot if i didnt have a DDR4 motherboard

i'm going to assume that you know little about building computers because people who already knew wouldn't ask this kind of question but:
1. research what each part of a computer does
2. learn how to actually build a computer by watching, or by doing if you have money to burn

3. important parts of the servers are a large quantity of ram and a fast processor

ddr4 is an entirely different socket......

how would i even use it if my motherboard and cpu didnt support it an LGA 1150 pentium does the same as a 6350, even when overclocked at 4.5 ghz, and the pentium is only 3.2

Which is why I said that the problem would most likely be in your new processor and motherboard you dolt:

i highly doubt it's from ram alone, it probably has something to do with the fact that you also have to upgrade your motherboard and cpu to upgrade from ddr3 to ddr4

I'm fully aware that DDR4 is a different slot because I use DDR4 in my rig. Ihe point of my post was to say that the issue is more than likely not your ram, but rather an issue with your new components that you had to get when you upgraded to DDR4 (motherboard and CPU). I'm not clueless about the fact that different generations of RAM use different sockets.
