You bought a 1060 and 6600K but you didnt have money for a FullHD monitor
Ok
1060s are relatively cheap tho if you get the EVGA one and not a stuffty founder's edition. I wouldn't get anything less at this point. And a 6600k is going to last a while so I don't see why you should not throw down some cash to get one.

This looks like it's going to end up being my system build to start off with. I would do a simulation in PC partpicker but I'd like if you could give me an estimate to how much it cost.

So I'm getting a new graphics card tomorrow when my paycheck comes in. My budget is about $250 max, but I mean, I'd prefer to spend under $200. Now, the only real reason I am upgrading is so that I can run Dishonored 2 when that releases, and I just want something that can most likely run that well. I have no idea how intensive that will be, but it wouldn't have to be at max settings. I can run Dishonored 1 at max at the moment.

Anyone have any GPU suggestions (preferably from Newegg) that would be able to run Dishonored 2 well at least, and doesn't pass $250 or so? If you guys help me out with this, I might do a giveaway for the free copy of Dishonored 1 + all the DLC that comes with a Dishonored 2 preorder for the people that helped the most in the drawing.

The RX 470 is going to be coming out soon, and it's right in the sweet-spot for somewhere between mid and high-end 1080p gaming. It's going to be somewhere around $150-175 at release. Sounds just like what you want.

Get a GTX 1060. It's a good card.

preferably this

right at the 250 mark
After mail-in rebate.

I'm also hoping to get this card since I won't be able to run a 1070 without severer bottlenecking.

You have to consider the fact that that is *really* skirting the edge of your budget, and that you can spend considerably less and still be very satisfied with what you get.

Not if you wanna look at the future of where graphics are going. The 480 is a much better choice if you plan to play DX12 or Vulkan titles for the next few years. Plus, you can crossfire the 480* and there's no emulated asynchronous computing on the 480.
*Crossfire/SLI is becoming more and more relevant as DX12 is starting to support it a lot more. Don't know about Vulkan supporting it though.

480 didn't bench as well as even 980 and overheats iirc

for real I'd be down with AMD cards if they weren't goddamn stoves.

480 doesn't overheat, at least not as far as any of the reviews I've seen. They get to around 80C under full load but that's not unsafe in the slightest unless you enjoy loveually feeling up your graphics card while you play games. And it's still close to the 1060.

the 480 doesnt overheat lol
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wbR9d6aF8iA - Vulkan

https://youtu.be/46kuyFyQfLk?t=5m32s - DX11
Basically the 1060 will beat the 480 in DX11 (for $50 more) and the 480 will (most of the time) beat the 1060 in DX12 and Vulkan
for real I'd be down with AMD cards if they weren't goddamn stoves.
Get a Sapphire card or something like that then.

Ok, so I currently have 8gb ram, how will another 8gb help me?

If you play lots of games or use lots of tabs on your web browser, then another 8gb could theoretically help a tiny bit.
