Levels of research storage is unfathomable

research? On an SSD?  More like super fast loading games.

List your motherboard and RAM information. It's likely not difficult.
My motherboard is an ASRock Exteme3 990fx
My ram is 1 x 4GB 1333mhz(ithink) kingston stick

I'm sorry, but you're thinking of overclocking when you don't even know how channels work?

That's why I asked this forum out, for help, not for remarks like that. If I cant over-clock then fine, I'll wait to get a CPU 10x my current one.

I never said you couldn't overclock it, you can overclock any CPU if you go about it the right way and have enough cooling, what I was pointing out is that you should be concerned about fixing more basic issues in your rig before you attempt to overclock anything

Buying this for $25, it's basically what the FTW edition of the 670 comes with. It adds better support to the card (removing sag, holding the card more upright) and in general looks really loving hot on the card.

Wonder if they do backplates for XFX 7870's, would look pretty loving cool

mack, would you appreciate it if i added a computer to the user built computer section of the OP? it would be a computer for gamers with a budget under $800.

Is that even at all worth it?
Or do you just do this so you can see how much mysterious white stuff will come out of your genitals if you rub them hard enough

It is worth it, looks, stability, and believe it or not, it can decrease temperatures on the card by almost 5 degrees celsius.

I don't like how Mack's computer build recommendations cheap out on the other components to try and emphasize the GPU.

There is also way too much MSI going on. I'm not sure on them as a brand but I wouldn't recommend them and I've never seen particular good nor bad reviews... pretty so-so, I wouldn't build a high ender with one of those thats for sure.

Just my view.

Those were mine if you read carefully directly above them. Anyways, I simply put those as recommended builds with more emphasis on the GPU as a majority of people here are of the gaming type. And saying that MSI is a not so good brand is completely off the mark. MSI provides extremely high quality parts, especially motherboards. They have been in the industry for far longer than most brands people suggest these days, and by saying you would never use them in a high end build is ludicrous. Take for example their flagship Z77 board, the z77 MPower. It is rated as one of the most stable boards on the market and has a crazy amount of overclocking capability on it. Also to go with that, their Lightning GTX 680 is ranked as the #1 card for NVIDIA flagship cards on Overclock.net. In all honesty, you can't really have a "view" on the company as MSI has been proven by plenty of sources as being very good and reliable. And most of the other parts in the build are not "cheaped" out either, I would like to know what you consider to be "cheaped" out on.

Sorry if this came out  really defensive, I didn't intend it to be that way ^-^

Yes, post it here in the comments.
