I can definitely say I like having a lot of RAM and a good CPU.

Here's my photoshopped attempt at what I want to do.

I recently tried building a custom and I have a bit of a problem. I have all the cables I need hooked up (I'm pretty sure at least). When I start the computer up the fans turn on, including the CPU fan. But no splash screen appeared. Nothing is wrong with the monitor so I know it's the computer. I dont know if i have everything i need hooked up so here are pics of the computer

Please don't flame this is my first time doing this

Do you have a debug led, or like a startup speaker?

Do you have a debug led, or like a startup speaker?

I have a startup speaker but there is no sound when the computer starts up. No beep

Something similar to this happened to me, open your motherboard menu and find out what key you have to press to get the setup menu.

Nothing even appears on the screen though. Keep in mind I just put it together today so I haven't been able to get it to start a all.

Have you got the fans going, or is there just no power going to the board?

Ok, but can you try it please?
Or do you mean that the screen just remains completely dead and it's not getting a signal or anything?

The fans are going but there is no splash screen. Nothing appears on the screen.

did you forget the standoffs?

did you forget the standoffs?

Standoffs? If you mean those things I have to put in the case before I put the motherboard in then no, I have them in

You do have cables going from the back of your gpu to the monitor, right?

You do have cables going from the back of your gpu to the monitor, right?

No. It's wierd. The monitor doesn't have an hmdi port but I don't have a white cable that would allow me to hook up the monitor to my dedicated GPU. So I use the blue one that is built into the motherboard.
