Today my friend dropped this and broke it while building a $4000 PC.

RMA it.
"Really Newegg. It had bent pins and BBQ sauce on it when it came."

Newegg won't believe you - because the newer processors from 775 and 1155 and so on don't have pins on them. The motherboard has the pins.

Somebody's got some bullstuff goin here

dear newegg

my cpu did not come with a 12V adapter slot. how can I power it if there's no power connection?
this is your fault. pay me back and I wont sue you

cheers,

Edit: can someone suggest me a good mic/headset? I'm on a moderate budget (try to keep it under $50), and all I really need is a mic that sounds good and stays on my head. I don't need killer audio listening as much as I need the mic, but it should still be pretty good. I would also like to buy it through amazon, since I got gift cards

I really hate those reviews about it being their first time buying from that brand of products and they get a defective one and say how horrible the company is/never buying from them again and give it a bad rating.

Then all the other ratings are 4 stars and up.

Yeah Turtle Beach headphones have a bad reputation.

it's not just that it's a bad rep it's that the sound quality is loving terrible

I usually ignore the reviews because half of them are the owners somehow managing to forget up the product without doing anything.

Everybody on newegg also is a tech expert level, or if the box comes damaged they take an egg of because it's totally neweggs fault for somebody messing up the package on delievery.

New contest!

Post what you think is the best all around processor cooler. Find the nicest looking, best performing, and quietest CPU cooler, and post it here - 10 of them will be added to a poll on the OP by February 10th, and whichever one wins the highest vote, that user will get a surprise reward!

Rules:

1. You must input ONLY ONE cooler for the contest. Don't list a bunch or it won't count.
2. Must be a store-bought, all in one CPU cooler. This includes closed water cooling loops (IE Corsair Hydro Series), heatsinks and nofan heatsinks.
3. No open-loop water cooling setups, as they perform far out of a regular cooler's league and aren't really classified as just CPU coolers.
4. Try to find the best bang for buck! The lower the price/better performance, the bigger chance it'll get added to the list.

To start off - I'll give you an example, and anyone can claim this example as their input - I'm not in the contest. Durr.
