ok? unremarkable anymore, especially somewhere like here

not using custom OEM information? i am ashamed
My computers GPU has stopped working twice lately and today my whole computer froze and the sound on a youtube video glitched up as well. Does anyone have an idea what the problem is?
I personally don't think the GPU would be the problem, try using a different video controller/card?

we're not tech support. you have to actually give us complete accounts and any possibly related information, and even then we might not be able to help.

Is the GTX 770 a good buy? I'm planning on getting one tomorrow, but I'm not entirely sure if it's worth it.

ok here is all I know:

The other day I was playing a SNES game on an emulator while watching a youtube video in the background. The whole computer froze for a second and the sound glitch up but a couple seconds later it went back to normal. Windows did say on the side that my GPU stopped working momentarily. Now today I was doing something on my computer while having a youtbe video in the background again then my whole computer froze. I couldn't move the mouse or anything. The sound was all forgeted in the youtube video as well but it was still playing, unlike before were it did that glitchy loop of a millisecond of noise. The sound was continuing but was very slow and glitched up. This time my computer didn't respond at all so i had to restart my computer manually. Since this happened 2 times I am starting to think there is something wrong with my computer now.

open it up, see if there's any fried circuitry or something out of place. use internet guides if you're not sure what to look for. my mobo fried a couple months ago and i had no idea until i actually decided to open it up.

were it not for the fact mine exhibited damn near the exact same symptoms

well to be fair depending on how old his computer is he might have leaky capacitors or something. so really checking his mobo isn't a totally stupid idea.

yeah mine did too when i had my athlon 64
turns out it was bad memory

Wait I need a USB or CD for memtest?

oh yes i just boguht theeese

Wait I need a USB or CD for memtest?
either. if you know how to use syslinux you can put it on a usb drive, run a few commands, make a config, and boot off it.
