So I am still looking for a laptop that is ok with games for around 350-450. Turns out I can order from the US as well so its fine if its a US retailer.

crossfiring 7870's with only 750W, any thoughts?

Is this any good?

Yes. But don't expect hardcore gaming.

If you got a quality brand PSU then go for it.

It's 17% more for a lot more than 17% more performance.
Believe me you'll be hating yourself when you don't have a good computer

Its not going to be my main conputer. I am going to be using it for school but will be playing a little bit of games on the side at lunch and whatnot. Also what do you think the battery life of the cokoutee you linked me to would be under heavy use?

bumping because i have a question
so the other day the gpu in my dad's computer died (he had an old 260) so right now he's using my sister's 650 until he can get a replacement
he ordered a 650 ti to use in his computer until he can afford a new build (his is currently around 5 years old)
however, when he gets that new computer, he's going to be giving me the 650 ti to replace my current 460
would this be a good improvement? i'm pretty happy with my current build except my cpu, so i'm kind of a bit wary about getting my gpu upgraded and figured this would be a good place to get some info about it

650 ti is a good budget card, what cpu do you have?

and yes, there'd be a significant improvement from your current card

ok, thanks
my dad picked it out because my sister's card is a plain 650 and he says the 650ti is a step up from that

my cpu is an AMD athlon II X2 processor
dual core, clocks in at ~2.8GHz
it's the only major thing on my computer (besides the motherboard) that hasn't been upgraded since i got it

not entirely sure but a 650 ti might bottleneck that cpu

you mean the gpu might be limited by it? because that's what i'm kind of concerned about, it seems like this cpu isn't really that great :s

edit: i don't know if this changes anything in regards to how it compares with the 650ti but my gtx 460 is a 2GB rather than a 1GB

just decided to grab an 850W psu for crossfiring the 7870's and it's all working fine
