Any idea on how to reduce the cost of this? Even when buying each individually at their low points its still around $1000.

HD 7970 was chosen for high 1920x1200 game demands on a 24" monitor, and 900W was chosen because of dealing with capacitor aging down the computer's lifespan.

16GB is meant for 8GB Minecraft usage (high mod usage + shaders etc), 4GB local server usage, 4GB OS usage including running browser communication programs and etc.

FX 8350 was considering it but need to find an AMD Mobo with UEFI BIOS and the PCI-E 1.0x slot behind the GPU slot. There are not many good AMD boards for the AM3+ socket that cost as little as some of the UEFI Intel boards.

No. 8GB is necessary for 4096x4096 textures, Sonic's Unbelievable shaders, and also running OptiFine extreme settings. It eats way more RAM than you think. Also keep in mind Im doing this on 1920x1200 resolutions.
No, I just prefer an aesthetic BIOS. I hate BIOS's that look like they're from 1997.
