Be careful when reinstalling and find a option to exclude that harddrive from being erased. Or unplug the HDD when reinstalling.

the speeds are very good, around 170mb/s read/write speeds compared to my old 4 year old 80mb/s wd green

Well, looks like that was a weird way of timing.  Goes from my old tower to the new one I backed everything up when I installed it and suddenly it's starting to die.  Good thing I still have an SSD to fall back on until I can replace it with something else.

Im having a problem with my laptop. Every time i run windows normally, after the start up logo, nothing appears. Its just a black screen with my cursor. Nothing will work, not even ctrl-alt-delete. When i boot in safe mode, i can log in but it wont procede in that manner. All that appears is a looping welcome logo that the syatem freezes on. I just finished a start up test and the memory and SMART tests passed but the hard drive check faile. The error id is:

My computer was freezing entirely frequintly. Today every time I tried controlling an NPC with the kinect my whole computer would freeze and never respond. So I tried to reset my bios by taking out the motherboard battery. And now it freezes when it gets to the starting windows screen

I still need help.
