This thread definitely needs some more computer geeks.

don not worry we are here for you

Hell no.
Build your own. My rig cost $800 and I can run any game on max settings with a steady 60+ fps.
Out of curiosity, what are the specs of your build?

Is Micro center a good place to buy from? This deal looks unrealistically good.

do not buy this, speeds are almost 2 times slower than leading brands/high fail rate

Hey I'm wondering if it would be worth it for me to upgrade my current processor.
I am aware that my CPU is probably bottlenecking my GPU, although I'm not really sure how much and if an upgrade is worth the money.

Right now I have a slightly overclocked GTX 760

Any my processor is a relatively old Phenom II at 3.2 gHz (old enough to be discontinued apparently)

Realistically, how much would I benefit from upgrading, and to what, or would overclocking it be a valid option?
The cpu stays well under 50 degrees Celsius even on stock cooling while playing games on high from what I can tell.

i have never noticed an increase ever due to overclocking things. we are talking about the difference in maybe 10 fps since memory, cpu, and gpu can only oc the tiny bit 10-15%. but any hardware that CAN even overclock high enough to do this, was good enough to not need overclocking at all. thats the funny thing.

if the base parts cant run games at minimal settings, then overclocking isnt going to improve it.

Well then.

What about this one? If not I need suggestions for low cost SSD's. I'm looking At the 90-130GB area. Hopefully stay below $120.

ssds are getting tough. they have a real bad cost to size ratio.
the games a person would priority-install when being actively playing, are beginning to take up rediculous amounts of space nowadays.
100gigs is cutting it very close.

It's mostly for programs I want to start fast and OS. The only games I keep on a SSD is Blockland and ArmA II (All my mods are on my 1TB drive, not on SSD).

Found one for a good price, good write/read speeds and great reviews.. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820721107

90% of people who use ssd's only install primary system on them and use hdd's for the rest of the data. havent seen a lot of people who only use ssd's without a high capacity hdd

gamers though should always have their active played games on the ssd. I mean Photoshop and windows don't even need to load up faster to matter.
ssds are only really advantuous for gamers.

its all the other computer software that should be on the secondary hdd

wow loading times are 10 seconds instead of 15, really worth the upgrade!!!
for me, just a 160 dollar WD Black 2tb is perfect. good price to speed to capacity ratio. ssd's are useless unless you have stufftons of money to waste

this is pretty much how I do it, except windows is on my SSD

about 10% of my games are on my SSD(Blockland, LoL, CS:GO and a few small others), then I have a TON on my HDD through steam's separate drives thing that I almost never play

i love my ssd because nowadays my computer is lacking (i have two gtx 460's and it's not as powerful as it was 3 years ago:( ) but i can still experience the same load time in games as others with much faster computers, if not shorter load time

SSD's are def worth it
