I have a budget of around $450, and I really want a Windows computer. I want it to play the games I mentioned in the game earlier, but I don't know where to look because I've only used Mac my life.

$10 under your budget, and I have a worse computer than this (FX-4130 vs FX-4300) and I can max out Blockland, with a definantly playable FPS and Euro Truck Simulator 2 at an awesome FPS as well. This uses windows 8.1, however you could use windows 7 and potentially save few bucks, but I wouldn't recommend it, I personally like Windows 8.1.
If you can connect one lego to another you can build a computer.
This. It's not complicated in the least bit, if you have any kind of a brain, you can do it. And it will be worth it.

i would recommend spending an extra 30 bucks and adding another 4gb onto georges build

Yes, this is something I plan to do later.

If I would like to run BF4 better (graphic-wise), is my graphics card all I should upgrade? And if so, what is something better than Nvidia GeForce GTX 555 that I should purchase? I'm not the smartest when it comes to customization lol.

sometimes you need a better processor in order for your gpu to keep up.
or a psu with a higher wattage
and stuff

An intel i7 processor would be good, right?

bahamut, what is your current setup? like cpu, psu wattage, amount of ram, etc
and how much money are you willing to spend?

Use speccy
If he is looking for just a general tool for checking his temp, that's fine. But if he doesn't want to open up speccy every time to check, he could use Coretemp, which runs in the background and just leaves a notification icon with the temperature. You can also set up Coretemp for overheat protection, which can shut down or sleep the computer if it gets too hot.

Tell me what else you need to see if so
and I don't know, not too much. $600? I'm not sure, I'll have to see a price I guess

if you could spend 700 you could get the fastest card on the market right now, the GTX 780 Ti. just make sure you have enough power from your power supply

Oh stuff, I might try that. Thanks!

now that I think about it... I never watched any guide or anything
I sort of... just figured it out?? not sure how I managed to build my first computer without a guide or anything

I must have watched dozens of guides as I saved up the money this summer.

basically once i was able to identify each part to a computer, i looked at how they all fit inside of one, and then i just kinda figured which parts would go first.

took awhile with screws and things when i built my computer but yeah i did well with cable management and i got it all installed correctly in one go
