did i miss the speedtest party?

I have better internet then you CHUMP

I have the backbone for Awesomebread's build done.

CPU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16819113286
MOBO - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128651
PSU - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817371023
RAM - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820226216
HDD - http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136941

$363 without tax (No tax charged if you're not in California or the one other state they ship from, I think NY or something, look it up)

This isn't complete, you need a video card of some sort. If you just need something that works, you can get this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131338

But I really recommend you save up a bit more so you can get this to complete your build: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202011

On a side note, you might need a OOD (Optical disk drive, for reading CD's). If you need one, they're only about $15. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16827136270

I recommend you just dismantle the case of an old computer for your case, but if you really want a new one you could go for this because of the good price: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811353018

get this motherboard instead
I have it and its great
and with that extra money get him 8gb of ram

I liked the one I posted better because it was a good deal off of a higher grade motherboard, but the one you posted is also fine to use if he wants to save $10.

Edit: Actually you only save $3 because the one I suggested has free shipping compared to $7 shipping. He's probably better off sticking with the higher grade one.

THEN WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH THE CARD I GAVE YOU
ARE YOU USING IT AS ANOTHER SPIDER SCRAPER

Maybe you're using a lower grade ethernet cable that only supports up to X Mb/'s?

Actually, cat 5 cables have a cap of 100mb/s I believe, and they are considered low end.
